Lin Wool - Head Trainer

Lin has trained and shown horses in Dressage and Western Pleasure for over 25 years. One of Lin's specialties is confidence in horses and riders.  She offers training for your horse and/or lessons on your horse or on one of her school horses. Whatever your needs, Lin will set up a lesson/training schedule for you and your horse in order to accomplish your goal.
 
Presently, Lin has a student showing CAQHEA and she herself actively shows Dressage on both her own horse and client’s horses. 

Lin has studied with Gerhard Politz for the past 10 years. Over the years, she has been active in many clinics, having the opportunity to ride under great instructors such as Betsy Steiner, Conrad Schumacher and Steffen Peters.

Denise Herbst - assistant trainer and instructor

Denise Herbst has ridden and handled horses for the past 25 years.  Denise presently owns a Dutch Warmblood gelding and is working her way up the levels of Dressage.

In the past, Denise has ridden and shown Hunt Seat, jumped Cross Country Events and has even Fox Hunted.

 

She has worked with trainers such as Gerhard Politz, Michael Lieberg and Peirre Cousin.

 

Denise has been a working student for various trainers for the past 7 years and worked with children in an after school learning center.

KLA Training is proud to have Denise as an assistant trainer and instructor.  She heads our summer camp program as she interacts with children very well.  They love her wonderful talent for arts and crafts along with her upbeat personality while they learn all about horses.

Pat Phillips - working student

Pat Phillips started taking riding lessons in 1995. She then progressed to Parelli in 1996, passing levels 1&2. In 2007 Pat started competing as a novice in Trail Trials. That same year Pat went to the Parelli International Study Center in Pagosa Springs, CO to study with Pat & Linda Parelli for two weeks. In 2008 she started competing in Trail Trials as an advanced rider. She then returned to the Parelli Center for 6 weeks to further her knowledge. Pat is currently riding training level in dressage and advanced level in CHSA trail trials with her horse Cole.

KLA Training is proud to have Pat as a working student assisting Lin Wool.  Pat works with challenging horses on the ground utilizing the Parelli methods.
